The Material
The felt and leather are French, sourced from partners whose craftsmanship embodies the highest standard.
The wool is sheared, not harvested. The rarer hairs are only worked to order, piece by piece.
The material is respected as a presence, not as a mere support.
Le Savoir-Faire
Le savoir-faire de la Maison repose sur des méthodes anciennes, transmises de geste en geste, bien avant que la machine n'existe.
Le point sellier, à deux aiguilles, ne file jamais même si un fil venait à céder. Le conformateur relève la forme exacte d'une tête avant toute mise en forme. Le couteau demi-lune amincit chaque bord de cuir jusqu'à l'épaisseur juste.
Des gestes hérités, qu'aucune machine ne remplace.
The Symbols
Every piece carries symbolic details. Engravings, hand-painted motifs, vintage-sourced accessories — each element is chosen for its resonance, for what it evokes: memory, protection, freedom.
Craftsmanship
The shaping, forming and finishing are done entirely by hand, one piece after another, in the continuation of age-old gestures.
The quality that is seen is born of a commitment that, itself, is not.
A Leciselé piece fits into no category. It is shaped around a person: their silhouette, their bearing, the way they occupy space.
Bespoke extends this evidence. The dialogue with the person who will wear it is part of the work; together a direction, an intention, sometimes a symbolism take shape. From this encounter is born a piece that exists nowhere else.
Every piece reads in the material, is felt when worn, and patinas with the time of the person who chose it.
Felt
Montcapel, from sheep to felt
The felt comes from Montcapel, a manufacture based in the upper Aude valley. It is one of the only ones in France to master the entire chain, from raw merino wool, sheared in Arles, to the finished felt.
The rest of the work happens at the atelier: each hat starts as a raw block, steam-shaped over wooden blocks, then finished by hand until the line is right. Nothing is mass-produced.
A material that the Maison chooses to last, not for a season.

Leather
A neighbouring tannery
The Maison's leather comes from the Tannerie du Puy, in Chadrac, a few kilometres from the atelier. Founded in 1946 and recognized as a Living Heritage Company (Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant), it is renowned for its mastery of box calf, one of the rarest crafts in calfskin leather.
A full-grain leather that patinas and gains depth with time and use. The brass buckles and fittings that accompany it are French too — chosen with the same rigour.
A leather that the Maison works as a heritage.

Every creation that leaves the atelier is conceived and treated like a true piece of goldsmith's work.
In my atelier in Auvergne, I draw and shape every piece myself. Felt and leather are noble materials, which need to be understood before being worked. My role is to shape them until I find the right line — the one that gives the piece its allure.
What gives a Leciselé piece its identity is this obsession with detail: the depth of a felt, the grain of a leather, the finesse of a ribbon. Technique doesn't interest me if the object gives off nothing. What I want is for a piece to have a real presence, to be recognized at first glance.
Bespoke is also this: no intermediary between you and me. From the first sketch to the final finishes, I accompany you, and it is in my hands that your piece comes to life.
